Project Update: Deep Zone is Moving Forward!

Deep Zone continues to make steady progress. The site is secured, engineering and design are in advanced stages, and an all-weather road and utilities are already in place. The next step is completing funding so we can move into the construction phase.

Here you’ll find a brief overview of the facility and general information about Deep Zone.

Deep Zone Aquatic Center is planned as the first 130-foot-deep aquatic facility in the United States. Located in Texas near NASA and the Houston Spaceport, and is designed for recreational diving, freediving, training, research, and specialized water-based applications in a controlled environment.

The facility is being designed to accommodate swimmers, snorkelers, divers, and freedivers, along with certification courses, training programs, and a variety of unique aquatic experiences for guests of different ages and skill levels.

Please note: For safety reasons, the diving platforms have been removed from the design.
